2nd year Public Speaking event    

 A public speaking event on environmental issues took place on Friday, May 22nd. Students prepared and delivered speeches either individually or as part of a group, having first progressed through their class heats. The overall winners were Úna White and Sophie Konieczny from 2 Vega, whose chosen topic was “We Should Support the Reintroduction of Extinct Species.”

This event formed part of our Green Schools Litter and Waste campaign, highlighting the importance of environmental awareness and action.

The judging panel included Miss McMahon (Deputy Principal), Mr Purcell (2nd Year Ceann Tí), and fifth-year students Christina Fitzgerald, Lily Melvin, Halle Sumeras, and Daniela Zastinceanu.

Well done to Úna and Sophie, who delivered a confident and well-prepared speech.
