National Cerebral Palsy (CP) Awareness Day
On the 25th March we celebrated National Cerebral Palsy (CP) Awareness Day. This day is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and advocating for the 17 million people worldwide and approximately 12,500 people in Ireland living with cerebral palsy.
Second year student Isabella White designed a presentation which was delivered during Caomhnoir period to all students. Students and staff marked the day by wearing a green ribbon which were distributed on entry to school and in the staffroom.
Raising awareness by taking action on this day helps to create an understanding and amplifies the voices of those living with CP. It supports lasting change in research, health care and inclusion.
Thank you to Isabella and the volunteers for coordinating the day.
