Culture Day: Celebrating the Wonders of Our Community!

On October 21st , our school came alive with colour, music, and mouth-watering aromas as we celebrated Culture Day, a joyful event organised by Ms. Parker and the Student Council. The goal? To celebrate the incredible diversity within our school and give everyone a chance to share their heritage, traditions, and pride.
From the moment students stepped into the gym, they were met with a feast for the senses, the smell of delicious food from around the world, the sight of vibrant flags and cultural displays, and the sound of laughter and music filling the air. With 213 enthusiastic volunteers, the event was bursting with energy and excitement!
Each stall offered something special: traditional dishes, unique artefacts, colourful decorations, and plenty of smiles. Volunteers dressed in beautiful traditional outfits, from flowing dresses to striking coats, proudly represented their countries and cultures. It truly felt like the whole world had come together under one roof!
As students made their way around the room, they sampled food, asked questions, and shared stories about their backgrounds. There was dancing, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of unity and a reminder that our differences make us stronger and our shared curiosity brings us closer together.
By the end of the day, everyone was happily exhausted, still buzzing from the celebrations. Even as the cleanup began, the positive energy lingered proving that Culture Day was more than just an event, it was an experience to remember.
A huge thank you to Ms. Parker, the Student Council, and all the amazing volunteers who made this day possible. We didn’t just organise an event but created a celebration of identity, friendship, and pride that we’ll be talking about for a long time to come!
