Author Louise Nealon’s visit to Coolmine CS.
Author Louise Nealon visited the school on 27th March to talk to Coolmine students in 3rd and 5th year about writing and publishing. Louise kindly donated a copy of her book to the school.
Louise won the Seán Ó Faoláin International Short Story Competition and was the recipient of the Francis Ledwidge Creative Writing Award. She has been published in the Irish Times, Southword, and The Open Ear. Louise received a degree in English literature from Trinity College Dublin in 2014 and a master’s degree in creative writing from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016. Snowflake, her first novel, was awarded the One Dublin One Book 2024. Louise’s new novel will be published in 2026.
