Tree planting event in Coolmine Lodge

A tree planting event took place in Coolmine Lodge on Wednesday 29th of January 2025. The purpose of the event was to participate in the “Imagining an Urban Oasis” project. Maria Tormey and Blakestown Community Drive invited our students to help create a biodiversity-rich space in the D15 area. It was also an opportunity for the local community to show their support for the excellent work being done at the Coolmine Therapeutic Centre. 

Students from our Global and Green Schools Committee were involved, along with Mr Kinlon and Miss O’Hora.

It was great fun. We planted 34 trees.

This was a wonderful and positive experience for everyone involved. Our students worked exceptionally hard to plant trees contributing to a project that will benefit both current and future generations.
