“Pop-Its stall”

February 6, 2025

Research indicates that “Pop-Its”, a fidget toy, can provide stress relief, enhance focus, develop fine motor skills, and promote overall learning. On January 16th, the student council, in collaboration with Ms. Parker organised a vibrant and successful “Pop-Its stall”, showcasing an array of colourful Pop Its for sale. The primary aim of this initiative was to promote mindfulness and well-being within our school community.

Generous volunteers from the student council dedicated their time to prepare and sell the “Pop-Its” for just €1.50 in Mall 1B. We were thrilled to see enthusiastic participation from students across all year groups, as well as our supportive teachers, which allowed us to raise €136.50! The student council decided to donate these funds to Jigsaw, known as the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, as well as UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency), an organisation that provides help with Palestine refugees.

I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Ms. Parker and our student council chairperson, Sheena Zhou, along with our deputy, Jie Lin, for their invaluable support in making this stall a reality. A special shout-out also goes to all student council members who contributed their time and effort to manage the stall during their breaks.

In conclusion, the “Pop-Its Stall” was a resounding success, and the student council should take great pride in their role in promoting the well-being of our school community.
