The Coolmine Sunflower Challenge 2023

A mixture of First year students took part in the inaugural Coolmine Sunflower Challenge on Friday to celebrate Earth Day and to promote environmental sustainability.

The Sunflower Challenge is a twelve week challenge that gets the students growing a sunflower from seed during the summer months. Students will be tasked with caring for their sunflower to ensure they have the biggest and best around. To win the challenge students must take photographic evidence of their prized sunflower, with the top 5 receiving prizes. Well done to all the students who took part and helped prepare over 100 sunflower pots to be given away and to Jane & Aleksa from 1 Keane who helped create the wonderful promotional posters. Best of luck to all the green fingered participants.
