Numeracy Club

“Numeracy is the ability to understand and work with numbers”
The Numeracy Club had its first meeting on Tuesday 26th January 2016. Members of the Club sharpened their mathematical skills and learned that there is more to numeracy than just numbers through the use of games, puzzles and trivia. There was a nice atmosphere as the students competed with each other or against the clock in games like Chess, Yahtzee, Scrabble, Chinese Checkers, Rubik Cube and Tower of Hanoi challenges. More games have been acquired by the club to encourage the members to think in different ways and to use lateral thinking to find solutions. A number of apps were suggested for students to download.
More information on this club can be obtained from Ms Peavoy.
