Gaisce Bronze Medal Success in Coolmine
Adventure
A camping trip was organised to finish the ‘Venture Section’ of the awards requirement. After a lot of preparation we set off on the train for Ballina on the 4th May 2006.
This weekend proved to be much better than any of us could have imagined. Throughout the weekend we dived off peers in Enniscrone, played on the beech, slid down huge sand dunes, saw Spiderman 3, hiked the local area (and had a bit of a water fight along the way), played rugby, had a ‘spooky’ midnight hike (which turned out to be a lot scarier than some expected) and cooked marshmallows over disposable barbecues. (We’d like to thank Ms. Quirke for the supply of marshmallows!). The weekend was a huge success and everyone involved had a brillant time.
