Weekly Update for Parents 27th March 2020
We hope that you are staying safe in these unprecedented times. It is very important for our school community to practice social and physical distancing, and to minimise physical contact with each other, to help avoid the spread of Covid 19. We would encourage you to support your son/daughter to practice social distancing and really good hand hygiene for the safety of all in their community. The HSE have provided a list of translated resources to help to share this message: COVID-19 translated resources
Continuity of learning for students through online platforms, email and other resources has been set up by their teachers. Please ensure your son/daughter logs in daily and that they are using their school email to communicate with teachers. If you have general queries about accessing learning online, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any subject specific queries, please email the subject teacher through your son/daughter’s email account. We also have a new section in the VSware behaviour tab called ‘Communication with Parents’ which has zero points attached. This enables teachers to communicate messages about online learning to parents.
Please try to encourage your son/daughter to follow a good routine that has a balanced approach to schoolwork, healthy eating, exercise and rest. Well done to all parents, students and teachers who have adapted to online learning in unique circumstances and are doing great work.
