Jim Breen (Cycle Against Suicide) Visits Coolmine

On Wednesday 25th November 2015, Jim Breen visited and spoke to fifth years and sang along with 1 Breen, before chatting to them and answering some of their questions.

Jim founded Cycle Against Suicide  as a result of an appearance on RTÉ’S documentary, The Secret Millionaire. The programme inspired him to continue to use his skills and influences to help raise awareness of mental health in Ireland and signpost people in need.

Along with the annual cycle around Ireland, the Student Leaders’ Congress takes place in the RDS each January to promote positive mental health, help-seeking behaviour in young people, and the Cycle Against Suicide message that ‘It’s ok not to feel ok, and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help’.
