Deidre Silvestri Visits Coolmine

Deirdre SilvestriAward winning writer, Deidre M. Silvestri visited us on Thursday 21st May. She spoke about her new novel ‘If the Walls Could Speak’. Deirdre is a past pupil of Coolmine Community School. She attended the school in 1976 for one year.

A group of Junior Cycle students attended the talk in the library.  Deirdre spoke to the students about her severe dyslexia and how it impacted upon her life. She also spoke about her dreams to become a writer and how she eventually came to write her novel.
