PhD awarded to ex-Coolminer

Congratulations to Jennifer Hayes (LC 2004) who was recently conferred with a PhD in Microbiology from Athlone Institute of Technology. Jennifer is pictured after her conferral with Prof. Ciarán Ó Cathain and Prof Neil Rowan.

She is currently employed as a postdoctoral Research Fellow in AIT on a prestigious Science Foundation Ireland Technology Inovation Development Award to develop an artificial meniscus for the human knee under the mentorship of Dr James Kennedy.
