Coolmine at Scifest in ITB
November 11, 2011
On the 11th of May a number of students displayed their projects at the Scifest competition in ITB. The projects were based on a number of different topics, and a huge amount of work was put into the compilation of report booklets, visual displays, video presentations, powerpoint presentations and oral presentations. The students had a great day and got to see a wonderful variety of projects from a large number of different schools. Coolmine had great success in the competition with
- Jack Carroll receiving 1st prize in the Individual Junior Life science category
- Christine Apopeii, Sarah O’Gara and Micah Yuson receiving runner-up prizes in the Junior life science group category
- Karl Millen and Kevin Wing coming 1st in the Senior life science group category.
All students who entered did a fantastic job and the science department and indeed the entire school are very proud of all the entrants!
