Ski Trip to Italy (February 2010)

A group of lucky second year students have an opportunity to jet off to the ski slopes of Montecampione, Italy during the 2010 February midterm break.
Accommodation will be in the 3-star Hotel Montecampione. The hotel is ideally situated on the slopes, close to the ski-hire shop and ski school. All rooms have private facilities and accommodate up to 4 students comfortably. The hotel has a games room, large video/cinema room, T.V room, recreational rooms, and a large indoor swimming pool. Activities such as bum boarding and ice skating are nearby.
- Total cost of includes return flights, transfers to / from airport to hotel, 7 days bed & breakfast, 7 evening meals, all airport / passenger taxes, airport and resort representation, 6 day lift passes, 6 day ski and boot hire, comprehensive ski travel insurance and 4 hours ski lessons per day.
- A parent’s information night was held on Thursday 5th November 2009. This meeting allowed parents to gain a full insight into what is involved on a ski tour i.e. clothing required, meals served, location of resort, medical facilities, pocket money and information on insurance coverage, etc.
- The accompanying teachers on the trip will be Ms. C. Clerkin, Ms D. Carroll, Mr. R. Carroll, Mr. J. Horseman, Mr. P. Kingston, and Mr. R. Conway.
- Record of behaviour in school will be taken into account. Students who are held responsible for breaches of the discipline code, who receive suspension(s), or are sanctioned in any other way by Coolmine Community School may be removed from the trip. This remains at the discretion of the management of the school.
