The 2006 First Year Concert

After weeks of rehearsing, The 2006 First Year Concert finally came together in a marvelous night of entertainment for the assembled audience. All the First Year students aided by their music teachers displayed a wonderful range of talent.

The audience was entertained in the first half of the show by:
1 Clarke – “The Sound of Music”
1 Lynn –  “The Wizard of Oz”
1 O’Farrell – “Joseph”
1 Pearse – “Grease”  

 In the 2nd half of the show we had performances from:
1 Connolly – “Annie Get Your Gun”
1 Plunkett –  “Mary Poppins”
1 Keogh –  “Oklahoma”
1 Ceannt – “Oliver”  

The success of the show was due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the following people: All our music teachers, Ms. Fitzpatrick, Ms. Maguire, Mr. Cunningham, Ms. Kerr, Mr. Sexton and Mr. Halferty; the teachers and staff of Coolmine; the Comperés Frances Lynch and Kevin O Brien; the Meitheal; the musicians; who performed on the night, John Kearns, Pauric Smith, Stephen O Connor, Paul and Neil Casey and Danny and Robert Kearns and of course all the students who performed on the night.
