Supervised Study Hall 09/10

Supervised Study Hall has commenced in Coolmine for the 2009/10 academic year. 

Each term of Study Hall is six weeks long. Each session is a duration of two hours with a five-minute break.  Students are supervised at all times and are subject to the rules of the school during the study period.  Subject to demand Study Hall will continue until the end of the academic year.

Study Hall is offered to examination years as follows:

  • Sixth Year – €40 per term (Monday to Thursday)
  • Third Year –  €50 per term (Monday to Friday)
Procedures for Study Hall
  • Verbal warning issued to the student(s) for breach of Code of Conduct. A note written in school journal to be signed and presented to the Study Supervisor the next day. Incident Sheet filled out and a decision on exclusion from Study Hall finalised.
  • A five-minute break at 16.55 – 17.00pm.
  • The Sports Complex is out of bounds. Students are requested to remain in the A corridor and canteen area.
  • Any student requesting to leave early must have a signed note from their parent / guardian.
  • Should a student fall ill during Study Hall, they must ring home before leaving the school.
